How to Repot
by Joey Bokor
Last week, I told you some of the signs that your plant babies need to be repotted.
When you see things like slow growth, off-color leaves, or a plant
that never seems to have enough water no matter how much you give
it, it is probably time for
some fresh soil and a larger pot. Figuring out that a plant needs to be repotted is the easy part.
Especially if you are new to plants, repotting can strike fear into your heart.
But, you don't have to be scared. We are here to answer your questions if you have them and this week, we'll
take you through the steps of repotting in our new how-to video.
Now is the perfect time of year to take stock of your plants and see what needs a fresh home. Here in Florida, spring has arrived, with highs this past week nearing 90 degrees already. Soon, spring will arrive for everyone across the country, and even for indoor plants spring is a time of growth, as days lengthen and temperatures warm. So dig in and get your hands dirty, your plants will thank you. |
